CONVERSIONS

PlatinumLuxeSims x Soigne
PLS x $oigne
This is our ONLY authorized Collab, in which we allow our content to be converted to FiveM/GTAV.

* If you see our work being redistributed or resold, we kindly ask that you please report it to us here.
Reports will always remain anonymous.

Any unauthorized use of our 3D models/assets (such as converting or reselling) will result in a legal DMCA takedown notice, without prior warning.

We clearly outline our terms of use and policies regarding conversions.
You are responsible for your actions, and any consequences such as your account being banned or deleted, on any platform, are beyond our control.
Complaints regarding such matters will not be addressed by us.

As stated in our Terms of Use, we strictly prohibit any conversions of our meshes or 3D models.
I understand this can be difficult for some to grasp, so let me clarify:

Nearly all of our content and 3D models are entirely meshed and textured from scratch by us.
Creating these models is no simple task. We've invested countless hours over the years, learning to the best of our ability to create & produce our 3D models. While our work may not be perfect, it is ours.

The cost of creating is significant. Below is a breakdown of some of our personal expenses:

- Adobe Substance 3D: £16 per month
- Photoshop: £22 per month
- Marvelous Designer: £200 per year
- ZBrush: £26.90 per month / £322.80 per year
- MF Premium (for storage): £53.79
- Website: £288 per year
- Website domain protection: £9.99
- Domain (.co.uk address): £99.35 per year
- Additional website security: £15 per month

The above obviously doesn't include additional costs such as brushes, textures, and other assets needed for texture creation, necessary licenses, upkeep and maintenance of PCs or laptops (which must be capable of running these programs), and, importantly, the time required to create content.

Using someone else's work without permission - merely to convert or profit from it for your own gain - is unacceptable and will never be tolerated.

Additionally, this practice is illegal under DMCA law.

We originally began creating our own models and content because we wanted specific features in our game.
We didn't take from others - we invested the time and effort to learn and produce it ourselves.
We are not a large corporation; you are benefiting from the work of a small creator.

It is NOT our responsibility to create content for you to resell or to enhance your game (which isn't The Sims 4).

F.A.Q

I have received a DMCA notice from you, what can I do?
- Typically, when a DMCA notice is filed, the platform will remove the unauthorized content as required by DMCA copyright law. No further action is usually necessary.

I received a DMCA notice from you, but didn't use your content?
- For a DMCA notice to be valid, the copyrighted content in question must be present. A DMCA notice is a legal mechanism, and platforms only remove content or penalize accounts if they determine that copyrighted material has been used. If no copyrighted content is identified, the DMCA notice would be invalid, and no action would be taken. Furthermore, making games or uploads 'private' or 'hidden' is ineffective, as the platform where the content is hosted still has full access to it.

Will my account be banned or will I be sued?
- It depends on the platform's specific policy. Generally, accounts aren't usually banned over a single DMCA notice. However, receiving multiple DMCA notices increases the likelihood of a ban. Ultimately, the outcome will vary based on the platform's rules and enforcement practices.

Regarding being sued: while both are legal actions, receiving a DMCA notice and being sued are entirely different. A DMCA notice is a legal demand to remove copyrighted or unauthorized content that you don’t have permission or a license to use or reupload. On the other hand, being sued involves the copyright owner choosing to take legal action against you, typically if you fail to comply with the DMCA notice and they find it necessary to escalate the matter further.

I received a DMCA notice from you and wasn't aware the models/meshes were yours. What should I do?
- We understand this can sometimes happen. As long as you respect our policy on conversions moving forward, no further action is required.
